I dislike Valentine’s Day because I prefer my husband buys me stuff and do things for me at random through out the year. He has been doing this since before we were married to let me know that he was thinking about me, and that I do not need to wait for one miserable day of the year to be shown love and affection. It works great for our relationship for the past 22 years and counting. Valentine’s Day should never be one-sided where the men buy the women a gift and the women do not do the same thing. My personal feelings about it is, this is exactly why men today do not like doing those extra things for women that all women want such as, flowers, candy, jewelry, and etc… All of them want that romantic day with their men, but many aren’t willing to do it for the men too.
